Seat Covers
One helpful tip for keeping your car fur-free is seat covers. A seat cover not only protects your seats from fur but also helps keep them protected from spills, dirt, and they are customizable, so there are several options for anyone. The benefit of a seat cover is that your furry friend can shed all they want, and all you have to do is remove your seat covers and throw them in the wash. This option is helpful for easy clean-up and excellent protection. Plus, seat covers are relatively inexpensive and can add a bit of flair to your vehicle.
Brush, Brush, Brush
Another great option, but a bit of a physical one, is to brush your dog. Brushing your furry friends regularly will help reduce the amount of loose fur that can be left behind on your seats. When it comes to how often you need to brush them, we recommend every other day or at least once before you take them in the vehicle. Some other benefits of brushing your pet’s coat are that brushing helps their coat stay healthy, it helps prevent fur matting, and it allows some good one-on-one time with you and your pet. Depending on what brush you choose, they can range anywhere from inexpensive to a wallet drainer, but brushes remain on the lower end of the price scale most of the time. Give your pet some love and help keep their fur off your seats with a good brush session.
Keep A Vacuum On Hand
One of the more expensive options, but a super effective one, is purchasing a personal vacuum to keep on hand in your vehicle. This option is a good one since it is a super convenient option for clean-up after a good day in the car. Once the pet is out of the vehicle, pull out your vacuum and woosh all the fur is gone. This option is more expansive but very effective. The vacuum can also be used for cleaning the floor mats aswell.
